El Portón, Chetumal, Mexico

After two days of culinary nightmare in Tulum, we managed to have a decent Mexican meal at the glamorous El Portón, at the Chetumal pier.

Grilled chicken stuffed with cheese, mushrooms

 and (very hot) chili

Chicken and beef mixed grill

Cost: no idea

Was it good? Yes, in Mexican standards

Will I be back? I don't think so

We only stayed for 2 days in Mexico, which explains why we did not manage to find good local cuisine. But from the little experience I had, I prefer having a burrito at Tortilla.
