Two weeks ago I went for brunch at Automat, an American Eatery in Mayfair. We sat at a booth and ordered two brunch classics: eggs benedict and buttermilk pancakes with blueberry sauce.

The poached eggs were well cooked and the hollandaise sauce tasted good. I was less enthusiastic about the pancakes which I found too thick and too sweet for my taste. I think other people would find these pancakes delicious, but personally I prefer English pancakes. Overall Automat is a pleasant venue where you can observe the elegant crowd of Mayfair in a very American upper class atmosphere.
